The job is done right the first time to the client’s satisfaction and our team members are flexible about making changes that the clients request as the renovation moves forward.

This job featured was completed in 2020 after Covid hit but before the drastic increases in the cost of materials for a retired attorney and his artist wife. They wanted increase the finished space of their 3800 s/f townhome in Alpharetta by adding a bedroom, bathroom, an artist’s studio, an office, a gym and an unfinished storage area. They wanted a walk up wet bar in the artist’s studio, a walk in shower in the bathroom, and a barn door on the unfinished storage area and the closet in the bedroom. Their basement was 1676 square feet.

These clients had gotten five or six different estimates and the lowest one came in at $74,300 for the basic construction which is the frraming, the plumbing, the electrical, the HVAC, the insulation, the drywall and the trim. We came in at $54,700 for the basic construction and proceeded to do the project.

The client addded a walk up wet bar which was constructed, finished and installed for $3300. We referred painters to the homeowners who did a fantastic job by prepping the walls to a smooth finish, painting straight lines and good coverage for $2600 labor. The clients paid for and provided the paint. The homeowners wanted luxury vinyl plank for the flooring and we recommended they get the flooring from Floor & decor which has the largest selection of tile and flooring at the lowest price in Atlanta. They got the LVP flooring for $1.99 a s/f and we installed the flooring for $1.00 a foot. They paid for and got the tile at Floor & Decor they provided us and we did the complete tile install which includes setting the mud pan and drain in the shower, installing the concrete backerboard, the waterproofing, installing the tile inside and outside of the shower and on the lower part of the walls in the bathroom, grouting the tile and sealing it for $2000 labor. They got the glass shower door and enclosure from D&S glass in Marietta installed for $1400. They were thrilled with the ultimate bottom line cost and the finished product.
